ASSESSING THE COVID-19 SAFETY COMPLIANCE LEVEL IN HEALTHCARE SECTOR

ABSTRACT: This study was carried out to assess the covid-19 safety compliance level in healthcare sector using General Hospital, Offa, Kwara State as a case study. Specifically, the study was aimed at examining the different established covid-19 safety measures; investigate  the various  covid-19 safety measures healthcare sectors comply on; and determine the level of covid-19 safety compliance among health sectors. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 137 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analysed, the findings revealed that the level of covid-19 safety compliance is high among health sector. The study therefore recommend Healthcare sectors should continue to adhere and comply strictly to the covid-19 safety measures laid down by the government to ensure the safety of the staff and patients of the hospitals. Also, government should establish standby security and task force teams to enforce adherence to the COVID-19 pandemic preventive measures among healthcare sectors in the country.
